So, the question is put to you: Why is porn such a big deal to people, and what is it to you?

Be careful. I know you aren't stupid, but you are young. Take it slowly. Know yourself and don't let people put you to doing things that you don't want. I know that sounds like something you already do, and why would anyone not do it?

Your family may be wrong or right. They want you to know about the dangers, though.

Large chunks of any objections are purely social. based on ideas of shame, degradation, etc. But these concepts do have a pure base origin, which is how people feel.

People being you.

I see two potential dangers. One is something everyone gets more or less of in life, and that is regret. The second is being used by the industry.

I'm being a lot more careful than I have been about anything else in my life, and though I agree that most tales of horror have a solid foundation, I don't think I'll be used by 'the industry' any more than I'm using them.

As for regret... I'm going at it with my all. I'm living my life and I'm not going to regret my choices, because I learn from each mistake just as my successes.
